Members guitarman1956
I'm a long time Classic Rock lead guitarist. I've been watching and waiting for the right situation to arise. Have all the "talented" musicians packed it in? Is Classic Rock "no more" in Northern Virginia ???
Members SeniorBlues
I'm rehearsing with one in Vienna and have been told we have rooms when we're ready. But I'm from the other side of the river and haven't been active until recently, so I can't really help you much. Tried CL?
Members theGman
Sorry to hear that. I used to live in Fairfax County, but left that 3rd world country for the Shenandoah Valley. We play classic rock+ all the time in Waynesboro, Staunton, Harrisonburg, Charlottesville. Biggest serious competition here is Country.I heard that girl group, Wicked Jezebels, play once at a rock festival, but they usually just play for a targeted audience; they are good though. Members GmanJeff
We play in the area. I'm not sure that the question is the viability of classic rock as a genre, but more one of the challenges inherent in finding gigs generally when there are a limited # of venues hosting live music of any type, in an area with a lot of bands. They play in Rehoboth Beach at the Frogg Pond - pack the house every time.
