New Drummer: First rehearsal last night!

We recently lost our original drummer (he went 'on the road' with a supposedly up-and-coming country singer) so we asked an old friend, who we had all played with before, to join us.  Our first rehearsal was last night and it went okay.  He had not had time to download and work on the songs (all original) but we played some of them anyway and it went okay and was pretty fun.  I hope he spends the time to get the kicks and accents in our music, and, if he does, I think it will work.  We will learn a lot more next week.  I'm cautiously optimistic.
