Members covenant Posted January 18, 2004 Members Share Posted January 18, 2004 I'm a bit confused about these pre-amps. I saw an add, about someone selling an SP-77 Series II. Is there 2 versions of this pre, an SP-77 and an SP-77 Series II? Also, i know that there is an american version and a japanese (?) one. Wich one aplies to each Series's? And how can i tell if it's american or not? I saw 2 diferent SP's: one has written Soldano Series II (purple color), others have Soldano Series II Guitar Preamp SP-77 (grey color, from the pic i've ssen). Members jamade Posted January 19, 2004 Members Share Posted January 19, 2004 if it says "made in the usa" in the lower right-hand corner on the back, then its american. the "best" version/units are those that were the first made, before soldano started skimping on parts, prior to assembling them overseas.
