Members schecterboy
Hey everyone, Just a quick question about loads for the 20/20 power amp. At home I use a stereo cab (1936 2x12) with this unit, 2 leads coming from the 8 ohm from the power amp outputs to the cab seem to work fine. However the place I practice has cabs that use only one input jack. Can I just use one lead from the 16 ohm from the power amp to the cab or with the burn out the unit or cause other problems, in short can you use a stereo power amp in mono! Cheers guys! Members Cougar Hunter
does the marshall 20/20 have 2 on/off switches? I know my 9100 does, therefore, I know mine can be used with just one channel. there's no way to bridge the channels though.
Members schecterboy
Errm its not a dual block system like the 50/50s and 100/100s and possibly the old 9100s which I think is the older version of the 100/100. I think something needs to be connected to both sides at all times, but it seems a bit odd as not everywhere provides stereo cabs. There isn't one cab out of the 40 or 50 where I practice that is stereo..

Members schecterboy
Ah I will achieve that someday! When I pass my driving test and get some cash! For the minute it looks like I may admit defeat. Just seems odd that Marshll make a power amp that can ONLY be used in stereo, surely it cant be too difficult or costly to make it so that it will accept mono... Ah well! Members starsnuffer
You can't use it in mono. You can rewire the cab to stereo for about 10 bucks though. -W
