Which one should I get next ? is the 80 just a better CPU machine, or does it do new things?

Thanks !

There are different "versions" of the PCM 70 series processors. They have different algorithms all together re: the pcm70 vs pcm80 . The PCM-80 has a data card reader allowing for obvious benefit, data cards for vocals and pitch fx as well. BOTH sound GREAT!!! I have the PCM-80 and love it! :thu:

Zach, some people swear by the PCM70 version 2.00, what would you say are the benefits of the PCM80 over its older sister?

The main fascination w/ the PCM70 v 2.0 is that it has 2 particular algorithm's panning delay and circular delay, that Steve Lukather uses, however; there's not a lot of guys that realize that you can create those with the PCM 80 too.

The main benefits, for me would be:

The Data Card on the PCM-80 and the fact that the PCM-80's are newer.
