Members clockwerk
Bill, Who makes that light fixture. I have seen it and it throws a beam of light across a large room. Clockwerk

Members Mississippi
This is very interesting, as the cut sheet & documentation clearly show cooling fans on the units. And there is quite a bit in the cut sheet regarding heat dissipation: "Under typical operation the surface temperature of the fixture housing will not exceed 160 degrees F (70 degrees C)". That's too hot to touch! And that's just the smallest unit, which can take up to 1.2 A. Also looks like a very narrow beam angle, which seems to go with the more powerful LED's. The new powerful LED fixtures coming are great for arenas and larger installs, but aren't for smaller stages, IMO. Too much heat, too much power draw, and I'm guessing they will be blinding the performers. Not much of an advantage over traditional lights, and much more expensive. http://www.selador.net/x7xtra-products.htm

As far as heat, it's radiated off the heat sinks in the unit itself. Being in the beam won't put you up a hundred degrees like a Par 64 does. Members BillESC
C&P The X7XTRA Series of Selador theatrical LEDs incorporates 38 extra-bright three-watt Luxeon III and Luxeon K2 LEDs in each foot-length of fixture, producing extremely intense colors across the spectrum. The ESC 330 LED will have thirty 3 watt LEDs contained in an eight inch circle. The street prices for the X7xtra models range from approximately $1,180 (7 inches) to $7,880 (62 inches) I expect the 330 to cost about 40% less than the seven inch Selador.
