Members jguitarguy27
I have a scanner (Chauvet Intimidator 1.0) that I'd like to mount to a vertical pole (as opposed to a horizontal pole like how it's designed). Anyone know a clever way of doing this? I have O-clamps...I tried using one O-clamp, but the weight of the light just seems like too much for the screw of the O-clamp. Members BillESC
Get a 6" piece of flat stock aluminum or steel, drill one hole center and one near each end. Bolt the fixture to the center hole and install O clamps into the end holes. Clamp the O clamps to the upright.

Members Rimmer
Personally, i'd mount a Mac 2000 on a horizontal pole IF I were using their hardcore stock clamps and decent truss that can take the strain. However much a fixture doesn't look like it will hold still at such a stressful angle, it's perfectly legitimate IF you have the right clamps and a strong vertical pole to hang the unit on.. Bill offered a legitimate option (as a Uk lampy i'd call that an outrigger) but it's not always necessary if you consider the above IF's... Members Remedy
I hang my scanners on a vertical pole(the pole of my 4bars) but i have them hanging from chains from the horizontal bar at the top (the T bar) if that makes sense
