So the only thing I had left to use for smoke was a Chauvet Hurricane that I generally just use for outdoor shows. Well as you can imagine it didn't take long for me to find out that they had smoke alarms installed in this barn. Then I discovered shortly after that all these were hooked into the same circuit breakers as all the power in the stage area. I then spent two days asking the promoter and the owner of the farm to disconnect the alarms at least once an hour. They said it was doable and that they would get right on it.
