Members bikehorn Posted March 21, 2004 Members Share Posted March 21, 2004 i know the world doesn't love Bose so much...but hey, a friend of my dad's has had a Bose system laying around and apparently hasn't used it in approximately 10 years. from what i saw of it, it's in immaculate condition, but i only saw the speakers. the rest was bubble-wrapped and sitting in a closet. the speakers are a pair of 802 series II, still with the original covers.. has anyone used these? what sort of bass response do they have? what else did the system include? thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Members Fafnir777 Posted March 21, 2004 Members Share Posted March 21, 2004 From my experience with those, they are fine for "vocal" gigs (i.e., acoustic groups, or bands that play smaller clubs and don't mic the drumkit) but that's about it. The low range is weak so therefore a sub is needed.The high frequencies are not very extended or emphasized.The mid range is the 802 saving grace.
