Members julius_the_cat
If I purchased a sde100 what if any role could it play with vocals in small clubs or high school gyms? if useful, any initial setting recommendations?
Members agedhorse
As an effect that is generally (though not always) used in conjunction with reverb for vocals. IME, the SDE-1000 is one of the best DDL's ever made. Easy to use, sood sounding and reliable.
Members where02190
High School gyms, probably none, as vocal clarity is already difficult to maintain in such a reverberant environment. In the small club, it would add depth to a vocal. Try 125-165ms, with no feedback for that Springsteen sort of sound, and by using a footswitch into the playmate input (using a normally closed switch) you can tap the delay time into the unit with the beat. The first tap zeros the unit, the second starts it going up in real time, the third stops it. Tapping in a quarter note, with the feedback set at 35-50 creates a rich echo that is in time with the music.
