Members tubedude
Quick question. How many watts is ideal for 2 Community 4x12, 4 tweeters and a titanium horn PA fullrange cabinets and its matching subs 4x15 each at 4ohms? They are rated at 600 watts rms and 1500 program. BTW what exactly is program watts.
Members agedhorse
From experience with those cabinets, something around 800 watts RMS is reasonable. Be sure to check, I think they are a 4 ohm box so look at the amplifier's 4 ohm rating. Those are only 2" voice coils IIRC.
Members tubedude
Thanks. 2 amps that delivers 800 watts at 4 ohms in stereo should do the trick?
Members tubedude
Agedhoarse, also whats your opinion on these cabs for club work? I picked all, 2 subs and 2 fullrange. for 900.00 but I had to replace the tweeters on both sides. They now work perfectly

Members Chadgrieser
I have used those 4x12 mid/high boxes, and ran around 900 watts in them. I wouldn't use any more then that really. We used 2 per side. They were used for rock shows and did really well. at least in my opinion. We never really had enough subs though. always had to dial back the mid highs to not overpower the subs. Hope this helps. Chad
Members agedhorse
They are ok, a pretty heavy and bulky box to load and hurk around though!
Members Chadgrieser
Very true aged. always took 2 guys to carry them around and to set into place.
Members tubedude
Yes they are extremely heavy and a bit middy sounding. I put a 31 band eq in the buss insert for the vocals and it does the job
