Members bpowell451
I have been holding on to these cabinets as a backup for my band's PA. I have a pair of JBL MP918 Subs and have been running a pair of the JBL Soundfactor single 15's as my tops. Would these Peavey's possible be a better top than the JBL's. I hoping to upgrade my tops in the near future, but in the meantime I might try these out. Will I notice any difference? on a side note, would a 22A driver from Peavey work as a replacement driver for the 22XT? Is the titanium the only difference? Members ezstep
The 22A driver was discontinued several years ago. It was replaced by the 22XT, which was replaced by the current RX22. You can still purchase the 22XT, but new 22A's are rare as hen's teeth. To answer your question, IIRC, the 22A and 22XT are interchangable, but WHY? Members bpowell451
because the 22xt driver in one of the cabinets is bad and I have two 22A's from a pair of dense packs that I never use.
Members dboomer
It's similar ... but not as good.
