Members mtmra70
So I need some insert cables that are TRS 90s on one end and XLR x2 on the other. I have a bunch of Neutrik TRS 90s & XLRs and some Pro-Co Ameriquad. What would be the best way to wire this? Or would it not be advisable since the Ameriquad is pretty thick? Also, do all grounds get connected (XLR pin 1s and 1/4" sleeve), 1/4" tip to male XLR pin 2 and 1/4" ring to female XLR pin 2?
Members W. M. Hellinger
1/4" tip to male XLR pin 2 and 1/4" ring to female XLR pin 2? That's correct if the board's insert points are "tip send".
Members mtmra70
They are. On the mixer it says: tip send/ring return.
Members agedhorse
I would not mess with quad cable, way too tight inside the short barrel ofthe 90 degree TRS. Think about it and you will realize what I am saying.
Members mtmra70
How about plain old Belden 9451 then? Those two things are the only thing I have on hand. BTW, this is for a small little rack. Doesnt need to be anything fancy.
Members agedhorse
8451/9451 is a better choice. 2 cables at the TRS end, one each at the TS ends.
