Members johnnyl80
Hi!I want to buy my girlfriend a (clip-style) microphone for saxophone for live use, but I'd like to keep costs around about €/$ 100...So far this is what I found:- Chinese no-real-brand condenser thing for 39- Superlux PRA-383D condenser for 59- Yamaha MC-7 condenser for 75- Beyerdynamic Opus 62, dynamic for 98- Beyerdynamic Opus 82.18 condenser for 111- Beyerdynamic Opus 82 condenser with preamp for 145- AKG C 519 ML, condenser for 155 ... I can spend around 150 max, but as said I'd like to keep it under 100/120-ish...What do you think?
Members TimOBrien
Dynamic may be better, especially for live use. Even a bog-standard SM-57 or SM-58 is a standard sax mic. I use a Sennheiser MD-421 (it's a bit better than a Shure).
