Members kayak
A friend has a microphone which is branded as an O.E.M. mic. Not an OEM, original equipment manufacture, but the brand name is O.E.M. The model is an O.E.M.-40. It kind of looks like a cross between a Shure Unidyne-B and an SM-58. He said that he purchased it about 20 years ago. Anyone know who actually made this mic? I'm trying to track down a windscreen for it.
CMS Author Craig Vecchione Posted January 12, 2009 CMS Author Share Posted January 12, 2009 As a kid in the 70's I remember seeing ads for "Brand Name" watches, $5. Got to the store, and the name of the watches? "Brand Name". Right on the face. Greaaaat..... Sounds as if you're looking at the pro audio equivalent. Members soul-x
You may just want to experiment with putting on grilles from various popular mics, in hope you find something that fits. It'll likely change the response, but it doesn't sound like we are looking at a real precise application here. Is it a screw on or retainer-ring type? Members soul-x
Maybe you'll get lucky and a 58-style one will fit.
