Members walkerci
I have (4) JBL MRX515 tops and (2) JBL SRX718 subs.We need some more sub coverage. As much as I would like to get another pair of SRX718s, I really can't afford it right now. I have a Peavey 215D bass cabinet loaded with Avatar spec Eminence Deltalite 2515s. The Deltalites don't cut it for a sub. If I put a pair of Kappalite 3015LF drivers in the cab, will this get the job done with good results? Or would I be wasting my money? I would put the cab front and center.
Members soul-x
I suspect coverage is not the issue, as the frequencies we are talking about are pretty much omnidirectional. You just probably want more low end, and what you are proposing won't keep up with the stuff you already are running. Also, the Kappalite is a nice driver, but probably wouldn't be my choice for sub use, ever. Sounds like you really need more 718s. Or maybe, in the short-term, try center-coupling your current boxes. Members Zeromus-X
When we can center cluster our two subs, it seems to make a HUGE difference. I know it shouldn't be that drastic, but... same club, same approx amount of people, tons more bass on the dance floor.
Members agedhorse
The effort is not likely to be even remotely successful.
Members walkerci
The effort is not likely to be even remotely successful. Wow. The SRX718 is THAT good? OK, I'll have to go without for a little while.Maybe I can get 1 next month and another in Sep/Oct. In retrospect, (2) decent drivers is pretty close in price to a SRX718.
