Members Beach Hound
Might be in the wrong place but.....How difficult is this to learn? I've got 3 of em but I have not been able to figure out bends yet.
Members jonathan_matos5
correct this is the wrong place to ask about playing the harp. not knowing anything about harp ill say contact the local college if there is one to find a teacher, a few lessons never hurt anyone, and they will for sure get you on the right foot. now for a derailment... beer is never off topic on a musicians forum:)
Members sunburstbasser
Since you've got three, I'll just guess you're talking about these harps: For the life of me, I could never figure out how to make one sound good. I had a beginner's book with suggestions like saying "oooh" or "wahh" to get that bluesy wailing harp thing. I couldn't get just a single note, though. I always got the one or two next to the one I wanted. The book said something about a "pucker" but it just made me look funny.
Members Beach Hound
Thanks folks. I'll address this one elsewhere. And you are right, beer is on topic no matter what forum it is. Thanks again
Members sunburstbasser
I think one or two people who read this board play harp, but I can't remember offhand. If you haven't tried already, it seems several guitarists double on harp. Maybe someone in the guitar forum could give you a hint or two?
