Members mitchell8621
A friend of mine that works at a good size sound company has a used amp pulled out of an install...I plugged it in, listened to it, no problems whatsoever...It's a Mackie1400i, and he will sell it to me for $50...I really dont need another amp, but it would be solid backup...the question is, would it be stupid not to buy for this price? Members abzurd
If it's 1400i it's a Mackie. Just looked them up on Ebay. Several have sold recently with an average price of $230. Buy it for $50, turn around and sell it. After fees you'll still make a tidy profit.

Members gonzobassman
Can't go wrong for 50 bucks even with a Mackie. Iwould probably resell it due to the fact I endured 2 Mackie power amp failures in one week.Different amps, different owners, and I decided then I would never own one! But,for 50 bucks I would buy a truckload of them!!! Lol
Members agedhorse
Sure, if it's working that's a very fair price for an amp that's pretty decent provided you don't short the outputs. They have had some reliability problems but most seem to have been weeded out by now.
