Members Ryan. I've been told that LFs are "omnidirectional" but obviously a speaker points in a direction. So do I want the subs crossing too or not?
Members agedhorse
Typically the tops only, but beware that you are generally changing the problem and maybe making things worse is one of the potential outcomes. So... it depends...
Members witesol
if you have a tough reflective room you want the mains pointing at the people, away from the walls if possible. breaking up reflections is accomplished with bumpy surfaces on the walls..or people. Members Ryan.
Okay, so basically just test it out and see if it helps. Definitely the name of the game is keeping the volume under control. Its just with this certain venue the slap back comes right back on stage and confuses the hell out of us. Members witesol
getting the tops up and pointing down can help..but, implemented poorly it can be unsafe. I like the MRX and QSC cabs with the tilting pole socket.
Members Ryan.
Yeah I talked about that before, but pointing the HPR153s just sounded like a recipe for disaster. In a bar full of drunkards reducing risk #1 over best possible sound.
