Members Count Dissident
I am looking for a pair of subs for my PA and I was wondering if the Peavey PV 118D subs are a solid choice. My mains are QSC HPR152i,so would the Peaveys match up with these? Would I be better off going with one QSC HPR181i for now instead? Also, how would the volume of the Peavey be compared to the QSC?BTW,The style of music is heavy rock. Thanks-Count
Members Mogwix
one HPR181i will destroy a pair of PV 118's.
Members Count Dissident
Thanks for the info. I am looking for a sub or pair of subs in the $1000 - $1500 range. Any suggestions? Is the HPR181i the best option in this price range?
Members Coaster
you could probably find a pair of srx 718 for that budget. you may consider getting the qsc's though, at least one for now if thats what you can afford.
Members Harmonycat
Thanks for the info. I am looking for a sub or pair of subs in the $1000 - $1500 range. Any suggestions? Is the HPR181i the best option in this price range? A pair of Yorkville LS608s can be had within that budget price. http://www.musiciansbuy.com/YORKVILLE_LS608_SUB_1X18_800WRMS.html_LS608KIT.html or these... http://www.musiciansbuy.com/YORKVILLE_LS808_SUB_1X18_800WRMS_.html_LS808KIT.html I own both of these subs. A pair of LS808s and four of the LS608s...among others. The QSC HPR181 cannot keep up with an LS808 and likely will not keep up with an LS608 either. They both use the same woofers.
