Members Saxy
The title explains itself. What do you do about the really big and obnoxious section that drowns out the rest of the band?
Members IndofunkCity
Nothing, cuz trumpets RULE!
Members sunburstbasser
In a jazz band setting, trumpets are usually in the back. Tell them to point their bells OUT, not DOWN! This will help you to hear yourself immensely. It also keeps the trombones from being such victims. We might bitch back at you, but good trumpeters will do it! In a concert band setting, trumpeters will either use C trumpets or hopefully have some sense of music. Tell them to shutup otherwise. The ones with the big egos won't listen; its OK to slap them. If its the low brass, it sounds good out in the audience when they play that way. Sorry. If its the guitarist, shoot him. They are expendable.
