Members fireax Posted March 7, 2011 Members Share Posted March 7, 2011 I realize there is the argument on one or two man job reeling, or rolling the cable up.I actually use 4-5 guys.I figure it like this.The band I mix has 4 guys.They all know how important the snake is.I have one guy man the fan tail.One person rolls up the cable.One person wipes down the cable as it goes in, so no small rocks, dirt work on the cable.One guy checks to make sure the cable is straight, and not catching on anything,and feeds the cable.and of course....I supervise....LOL BTW. Also, when handling a snake that runs through a venue, sticky residue on the snake can hold small glass shards so be very careful not to run these through your hand for obvious reasons.
