Members BryTunes
Hiya Keyboardin' friends. I have a 1st gen M-audio axiom 49 which, In additin to sustain, has an extra pedal input called expression pedal. I have searched the manual and can't figure out to program a pedal to transpose the keys. Basically when a song has a modulation, I prefer to play the same keys and have them raise up a step. Thanks in advance for any advice
Members the_big_e
So you want pitch bend? Can you assign a pitch bend CC to the expression pedal?
Members Mr Temporary
No idea what you're using as far as software, but in Mainstage 3 it's simple. I'd probably set it up as a Patch change.
Members onelife
What about using the big buttons above the Pitch Bend and Modulation wheels on your Axiom that are labeled "Transpose" and "Octave"? If you press both of these buttons together then the word "TRANS" will blink in the display and the "-" and "+" buttons on the numeric keypad will transpose the keyboard down or up one semi-tone at a time. Members moogerfooger
So you want pitch bend? Can you assign a pitch bend CC to the expression pedal? no he wants transpose. probably easier to put a second patch in the next higher program slot transposed to the key he wants and do a program up command from a momentary pedal. Members onelife
that's a good idea - that way the keyboard is not transposed which, if overlooked, could cause problems in the next song
