Even if the amp was assembled here in the US, everything in the amp is made over seas. I can say the Chinese have done much better in the past 20 years of so in their builds. They used to use unskilled workers to build things on an assembly line and quality was unpredictable. Japan moved in and set up all kinds of automated factories with robotic production and builds now equal anything Taiwan or Japan makes now. The question would be if the amps is point to point hand made or PCB board. If its point to point I'd definitely check out all solder joints and reflow any solder joints that look flakey.
