Yes, it's compact and light-weight, but so is my EFX-8, and the EFX-8 has the built-in power-supply. EQ is definitely smoother on the EFX-8. The channel-strip peak indicators on my 124FX, aren't working properly, if at all. I have to use my ears to set channel gain.
