Members pgtcobra
Hello! I have a question maybe weird, but hey .. I have four JBL PRX625 .. I always use 2 PRX, but sometimes, I add 3 or 4 .. and I installed one above the other, but hey .. Not extremely safe for stability If I use a DriveRack PX and i use two PRX625 in subwoofer mode (ex : 40-140hz) (yess .. I don't have space and I find it too big and heavy to transport two 18-inch subwoofer in my car with no help) Is that the limiter is going to work anyway or there is a risk of breaking the woofers? without reaching the "clip" it seems to me that the woofers work much .. it is certain that they play only 40 to 140 hz Thank you in advance and sorry for my bad english and bad google translate
CMS Author Craig Vecchione Posted November 14, 2014 CMS Author Share Posted November 14, 2014 The PRX625 has its own limiters, so regardless of the input signal to the 625's used as subs, the DSP in those cabinets will protect the drivers. Nothing is perfect, and it's still possible to send a signal that's so hot it eventually damages a driver, but you would have to really try hard to do damage.
