Members w-w-wertard
does anyone know of a soft case that will accommodate a 12 string giannini craviola?
Members Freeman Keller
A quick google search turns up a number of sources for the instrument, usually with the works "~~Supplied with Giannini gig bag". Sounds like you need to write directly to Giannini, apparently in Brazil or find out who their importer is. The next option is to measure your instrument and see what standard instruments are close - gig bags don't have to fit real tight. Last choice is to have a custom case made for it - I build odd ball instruments and have had good luck with Cedar Creek custom cases - they are slow, very expensive and fit perfectly. Unfortunately they are hard shell, but I can't see why anyone would put an expensive instrument in a gig bag in the first place.
Members w-w-wertard
thank you. i found a supplier of hard shell cases here in the states but i have a tough time justifying spending as much on the case as i spent on the instrument... Members Freeman Keller
I've put smaller instruments in cases that were too big for them and packed a towel around to take up space.
Members w-w-wertard
thanks for the ideas, i've tried a few dread cases, but the shape is proving to be the crux. and the length. i may have to brush up on my carpentry.
