Members TruSlice
Selling this on behalf of a friend. These things go for about $3200 new. They typically come in an amber finish, but this is a particularly rare green finish. Asking $1500 or trade for Musicman 5 string. It has a satin/nitro finish, so any scratches are perfectly normal and tend to be unforgiving with this finish. Wood choice is swamp ash body, maple top, and ovankol neck with wenge board (basically a slick rosewood). Killer combinations. No notable wear except for usual buckle wear on back, some scratches (see pics) some minor worming there. Action is great, playability is super silky smooth with the wenge fingerboard (like a super rosewood that doesn't ever get sticky or gunky), MEC active pickups are really punchy and have tons of growl, warmth and depth. Fantastic tone all around for a bass instrument. Think of a tone that's a little less hot than 311's rhythm section and you're 90% there. A little bit more mellow and full but definitely has that signature Warwick growl to it. I would know because he is my bandmate He has decided it is not for him, the bass is a bit heavy and he is looking for a longer scale neck to suit his playing style better. Tough decision here for sure! Mainly looking for a fair offer on a MusicMan 5 string (Sterlings', Stingrays') preferably 2 HH of HS configuration or a way to get 2 pickups in there. Color choice is sort of up in the air right now. All original paperwork is included, super durable hardcase is included, surface cleaner too (was used to maintain this instrument).
