Members GigMan
Does anyone dig this song as much as I do? Great lyrics (that are particularly amusing + incredibly accurate if you're in the late 30's/early 40's crowd like me), a good beat, a great video (so I'm told, haven't seen it yet). A fun tune, along the lines of "Stacy's Mom" by Fountains of Wayne - a New Jersey band, BTW... Another really fun tune - "Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy" by "Big and Rich" I guess that one is on the country charts, but it has a great rock beat, slashing guitars - it really should be burnin' up the pop charts. Members wheresgrant3
The "1985" is a noble attempt. A little too whiney for me... but some of the lyrics crack me up. This girl has been asking my band to play that "Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy" song for weeks now. I still haven't heard it. I'm not one for pop radio, but the two songs that catch my ear is "Take Me Out" by Franz Ferdinand and "Somebody Told me" by The Killers.... both have this cool 80's euro dance thing going on.
