What equipment do you have?

Hello pelleyoo

Thanks for that.

Purlely software based for equipment - save one Roland JV30 keyboard for Midi.

I'm almost exclusively using emagic for software; Logic Audio and the emagic range of plug-ins and soft synths. However I did create some of the noises and ambient clicks and blips using crystal - nifty bit of kit :)

Great tune! Dig the machinery sounds in the beginning. Where do they come from?

As a whole, this sounds like something VNV Nation would do.

Keep up the great work!
:D

Hey Scuby

Nice to hear from you again.

The machinery sounds are a mix of some samples from the Sputnik recordings I found on a BBC cd and just general noise tinkering by me and then mixing them together. Oh and of course effected a whole lot too. ;)

I don't know of VNV Nation but I'll have to take a listen. d'you have any links?

Cheers as always Scuby

The first half is an excellent soundscape, the morse-code-being-tapped-on-crystals type thing is good, some nicely aggressive filter 'burns' in there too, generally good programming.:D

The second half does sound a bit VNV Nationish, a decent bit of dancey electronica:)

It's late and I'm on the laptop speakers right now, I'll give this a proper listen to tomorrow through the monitors.

:) Thanks Allerian - most of the time it's blind ignorance and curiosity mixed with a small idea....

Thanks as ever - you're too kind about my stuff. Appreciated though.

Nice stuff once again.

I like all the noises and stuff going on in the background.

The track builds nicely too picking up the tempo as it goes along with what I think of as your trademark Electric Piano-ish arpeggios.

Slightly early FSOL in feel or even
'76.14' by Global Communication
.

Thanks Odds.

I guess I have fallen in love a little with the ol' electric piano and those arpeggios are fun to do :)

Haven't heard those two you mention - but I'll have a look out.

Thanks as always man.

Bye the way Purity

I checked out that VNV link... er perhaps they're somewhat more, shall we say Hardcore ;) than my stuff !!! I only listened to one called Cold and it was interesting.:D

Dunno if I'm ready to go down that route... a bit extreme for lil' ol' moi.

headphone candy. tasteful movements of sound coming left to right and back and forth somewhere between blade runner and a soothing dream. a sweet melody after the intro becomes the glue of the track, finding footing somewhere in the kiss me kiss me kiss me era, yet firmly in the present.

and just when one smells the designated techno-beat coming on, a choir of bells dances in escorted by ringo's electronik drum troup. original and comforting.

it's a nice ride- a fine passage of time. and conveniently, in case there's a hitch on the way- the author has even provided power tools to help us keep things ship-shape. now THAT's service.;)

btw- I'm pretty sure the drill is a dewault.

:D

(again- bravo)

Funnily enough no drills were harmed during this productions ;)

Hi Loreman How are you?

Iv been listening, I like the mod, and all sound fx, very cool, the strings sounds impressive, imponent, sounds like a premonition of a devastacion, well that is my imagination.

Then comes the drums, and those pin pong sounds, i supose you are a fan of those sounds that I'v heard in others songs you made.

I love the first part, and I like the way you change the mod in the next part, and i like the mix , bright and clean.

It is a long song , i like you made lots of variations that keeps my attention the whole song.

Have a great day Loreman:)

Hey Axel

Thanks for that.

Actually there are no drums. It's just a heavily effected bass synth. But the intent was to make them a little percussion in sound :)

As for the 'ping pong' sounds, yep. I'm a sucker for those - it just creates the right amount of light energy I'm after. However it could be time to put those away for a while.

I hadn't intended it to be so long it just sort of happened, and I'd totally forgotten about the time limit.....Ooops. OK next one will be shorter.

Well cheers as always Axel. Be seeing ya. And you have a good day also.

Cheers

Great stuff, L-man!

Love those metallic sounds in the beginning. The mix is well done and I especially like how well all the sounds meld together and as always, that Loreman mystique fills the piece with the smooth coolness that resonates through all your tracks;)

I think I did that way back when I was trying to get into college. I lifted the idea from a Boris Valejo painting must be going on 15 years or so..... Sheesh.

eric

Hey Cheers Eric.

Glad you liked it. I think the myths album is done really. It's just not mixed yet as I want to do that on a more powerful computer. But I've decided I've enough material for that project.

As for a narrative about robots well I have a few. Maybe an interesting theme for an album?.... We'll see.

Thanks as always Eric. Will email you soon.

Cheers
