It's a serious monster. All the 80's ESP's I've owned have been. Built like a tank and sound massive.

It's also not as red as those pics show. It has a deeper, metallic element to the paint.

This one has it's fair share of scars but like I heard somewhere, the good ones get played.

I can take offers though if you guys think the price is too high. Who knows, might take it.

He told me about that but I've never took the back cavity cover off it. I assume he means that he routed out a bit underneath the trem to fit the block. It has an ESP trem back on it now. He must have put it back on before he sold it to me.

I also forgot to mention that the tuners have been swapped out to Grovers leaving small holes in the back of the headstock.

I really didn't play this one much after I bought it.

So price lowered to $500 shipped with the ESP case.

Some are asking almost twice as much for LTD's. Don't be fooled.

I might be interested in this, some questions:

Are there any issues with it whatsoever? I don't care about the dings, holes for old tuners and the routing doesn't look to be an issue. All electronics work fine with no issues?

How are the frets?

Any funky smells inside the case?

The EMG, is an active pickup, right? Where is the battery?

Do you have any references here on HC?

One at a time.

No issues at all. Guitar functions just fine and sounds great.

Frets are good. Slight wear but nothing gouging or needing work

No funky smell at all in the case. Smells like a case.

EMG is active, battery is in the cavity compartment.

References? Check my sig, those are the people I've done trades with here.

Do you have any photos after the EMG swap? How old are the photos you posted?

This has the original ESP bridge installed, just with new saddles?

The ad I linked to above, the guy says it's an early 90s, you say it's a mid-late 80s, how did you ascertain that?

Do you know the body wood? Alder?

PM sent. But incase anyone else wants to know.

1. I don't have pics now of the body but could take some if important. Looks just the same except for an EMG 85 in the bridge.

2. As you can see in the photo of the edge, it has an ESP (Sinclair?) trem installed. I guess the last owner had a Floyd installed on it, I would have no idea. But as the pic shows, it's an ESP trem with chrome saddles on it.

3. I'm pretty sure ESP stopped putting the New York Address on the neckplate in the late 80's. I also talked to some guys I know at ESP and while they couldn't give me a definate year, they also said it was mid-late 80's. Again, I have no idea what the previous owner said.

4. Body wood? No clue. Assume alder but I don't really know.
