Members 4midori
Hi, I have the following: Sonar 5AudacityKontakt 2 What is the simplest way to get all my sampled loops to be the same BPM? I want to use the compression/expansion method to avoid changng the pitch. I have been sampling in to Audacity, setting loops points, exporting to WAV, then importing the WAV files in to Kontakt 2 and assigning them to keys on the keyboard. This all works fine, but I would like to set all the loops to the same BPM first. Thanks, Ben
Members ShakaCthulu
Does Sonar have a Beatfinder mode like on Acid, or Beat Detective like on ProTools?
Members elsongs
Just insert any loop onto a Sonar track, and hit CTRL-L. No need to worry about the tempo since it conforms to your song's tempo automatically.
Members 4midori
That could work for assembling a song out of loops, however, I want to trigger loops from the keyboard, so I need to get them to the same BPM in order to trigger them from Kontakt2. Members program_insect
Well, any loop of a given number of beats at a given tempo will be the same length in seconds. So just figure out what that length is, then stretch all your loops to be that length. Double the length as necessary if you have a loop which is eg 16 bars instead of 8. Or just get Ableton Live.
