That is indeed a great one. Another book I'd really recommend is Mick Goodrick's The Advancing Guitarist.

Add George Bouchard's Intermediate Jaz Improvisation and you'll have lots of ways to apply the theory too. Lots of practice tunes and practical ideas.

These three books are the foundation of my theory library. You don't need more. All you need is to actually learn what's in these three books.

Sheesh, don't take offense. I guess I should've added a "winky face". ;)

I thought at one time you mentioned you play the balalaika or bouzouki? I was hoping someone with experience with stringed instruments other than guitar could help me out. If I rubbed you the wrong way, it was unintenional.:)

I made a post asking for help and got zero responses. :(
