Members Rocksinyourhead
Im kinda stuck .. Ive been playing guitar for a few years .. lets say for 4 or so. But Ive never learned any scales or how to even read music. Ive never taken lessons. Due to the fact that at the time I couldnt afford them. So where is a place online to learn how to read music and learn scales. Also How to fourm a song on guitar. Im starting to write lyrics but I cant find the right chords to go along. Where can I learn more about how to match that.
Members bdemon
This site should have some good lessons, no? Another good one is www.ibreathemusic.com.Learn a bunch of songs before you write your own. Beatles, Green Day, whatever. Learn a bunch and you start getting ideas on how to make your own. Members raggety
Concept #7 - Using The Simple Map To use the map, remember two things. First, you may jump anywhere from I. Second, if a chord appears at more than one place, there is an "imaginary tunnel" connecting both spots, so you can move from one to the other. Got it? With the map you can do exercises like: 1. Write a long "loop," starting with the I chord, Jump from I to wherever you like. Then work your way back to I by following the arrows. 2. Write several three or four chord sequences. Start anywhere on the map. Follow the arrows. Here are some possible answers. I - iii - vi - IV - ii - V - I is a "loop." It starts and ends on I. IV - V - I is a three chord sequence. vi - ii - V - I is a four chord sequence. ii - V - iii - vi is another. You can find a lot more this site has taught me A LOT of useful stuff http://chordmaps.com/index.htm
