Michael Thompson/Landau Technique (tab?)

I notice that Michael Thompson and Michael Landau as well as many other great session players really put a little twist on their playing.

 

I find that instead of playing in a straight line they'll jump around song with string skipping, or play within a key but don't always go to the note you expect. Anyone else find that??? Or is it just me?

 

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone had any tab of their styles??
