Here's a video of the tune John Mclaughlin...

One of the drummers put this together to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the albums release.

If you're not familiar with the album this might be a bit hard to grasp as to why or what's going on. But Bitches Brew was an album Miles did with two drummers, an acoustic bass, an electric bass, two Rhodes players, and two percussionists as the rhythm section (actually the pulse section). The double rhythm section would create a landscape for four soloists to improv off. The solo instruments were trumpet, bass clarinet, soprano sax, and guitar.

It's about everyone playing to together to create a vibe, to capture a moment, not necessarily 'stand out'. The musicians I got to work with are THE very best in our area. It was cool because these were musicians 10-20 years older than me as as well as musicians 10-20 years younger than me...

we only did two very sketchy rehearsals as we want things to pan out on stage and keep it fresh and in complete 'improv' mode...

it was a true spirit of music experience!!!

Just thought you guys might dig it.

(If you aren't familiar with Bitches Brew, you can listen to the original album in it's entirety here for an idea of what we were doing: http://www.myspace.com/milesdavis/music/albums/bitches-brew-8083553)
