Members Verne Andru
Doesn't appear to be much love for this in EG, but maybe folks around here will understand this puppy. http://www.burrjohnson.com/hagstrom.html Hagstrom "Burr Johnson" Model - scale length of 25 inches - alumatone pickups by Lace - Graphtech Ghost system providing both steller acousta/phonic tone and state of the art midi design - top is spruce while the back and neck are mahogany. Members jimbles
Not to my usual tastes... but swap out the pickups, and I'd go for it, if the price was right... I approve!
Members Verne Andru
Just curious - what don't you like about the Lace's?

Members Karma1
Very interesting and unique guitar - cool! But I think it needs a few more knobs and switches I'm a big fan of Lace pickups and have the original Sensors in my Strat and Tele Thinline. How do you like the Alumatones? Anything you can share about them?
Members Verne Andru
I had a chance to check out the Alumatones at Lace's booth last NAMM and was very impressed. Uber quiet, great cleans and crunch tones. I was surprised.

Members jimbles
Just curious - what don't you like about the Lace's? I just prefer higher outputs (I know, I know...) BKP or Lundgren would be my first choices. Also, though I'm ashamed to admit it, the look of them doesn't do anything for me... But as I said, nice guitar, if I had the pennies

Members aliensporebomb
Wowie, look at all the switches. Cool! That thing would really pop under the stagelights.
Members Verne Andru
I'm hoping they have one on the NAMM floor in January.
Members h0ss
Very interesting looking instrument. Blends a lot of stuff I'm inerested in, and Hags are usually reasonably priced. If this one isn't priced off the charts, it's a possibility.
Members Verne Andru
Thought I'd bump this. I went by Hagstroms booth at NAMM in January and couldn't see this anywhere. Unfortunately I was too busy to stop and ask questions. Maybe next year.
