Members rotren
I am not a metal player, but I made a few basic presets for this type of sound. What do you think? [video=youtube;VcJ-uxfPTAE]
Members b_f_c_99
Other than the fact that pretty much all metal like that sounds like Bees Fu*&^^ in a mountain dew can, I'd say you have captured the sound very well/
Members rotren
Thanks, that is an interesting description of the tones!
Members Ku'Yleh
It's "Treadplate", no "h" Goodish tones, too much low end and not enough mids in any of em for my taste. Try a little more mids, and the TS model in front of the amp, especially on the treadplate. It tightens it up, gets rid of the flubbiness in the low end and makes the whole thing jump out more. I LOVE my HD for metal... I use the Treadplate and F-ball mostly... the Uber was sick in the first couple firmware revisions, but they screwed it all up in 1.12. Members Bobby D
F-Ball model, played LOUD onstage, really made me smile -- that model sounds KILLER. i hope they do an update soon with a few more amp models like a Soldano SLO style amp! Hard to find a heavier sound (at least for a Line6 imho) I've heard a few F-ball examples...sounds pretty accurate to the original.
Members Santuzzo
Sounds very nice, but for my taste there's too much gain, would probably not cut through well in a mix. I also have an HD500 and I love it for Metal!
Members Santuzzo
Thanks, that is an interesting description of the tones! Nah, I don't think it's an interesting description. It rather displays quite an amount of ignorance and closed-mindedness of the guy who posted that, IMO.
Members rotren
Too much gain on all 3 models I used?
Members Santuzzo
Too much gain on all 3 models I used? IMO, yes, but keep in mind that's just my taste. Your clip still sounds good, and only guitar will sound just fine, but like I said, I think in a mix it may not cut through very well.
