Members oates
I'm dipping my toe into the waters of Amp Emulation software in Logic and am looking for the best Vox tones. Can anybody recommend a great Vox software? Thank you in advance!
Members vintagevibes
Actually I think the little Vox Amplug AC30 might be the best out there. It has no effects at all and just Vol, Gain, and Tone but it totally rocks and is just $39.00! My second choice is any of the Pod HD series floor boards ($329-$500) I own both and I really think you ought to try the Amplug.
Members honeyiscool
Vox ToneLab? Anyway, just about all kinds of software have a Vox mode, and they all sound similarly good to me. I prefer Guitar Rig.

Members Brian @ IK
Give the British Copper 30 TB model in AmpliTube 3 a try. It's modeled on an early '60s Vox AC30 copper panel model, and you need to play it to believe it.
Members oates
I'm going to give that bad boy a shot...esp since I'm exclusively soft amp now.
Members Brian @ IK
Great! I'd like to hear what you think of it.And if you have any question about it or any other AmpliTube models, just give me a shout.
Members strangedogs
I just picked up a Vox JamVox and really like the Vox sounds I get from it - am experimenting with a way to get that into logic (and Reaper) as it's basically a standalone App. With 2 interfaces I believe it might be possible. Members ~flipper
My first guitar amp, back in 1965, was a Vox Buckingham. It was basically a separate head and speaker cab version of one of the old AC30s. I've owned a number of modern-era AC30s, at different times, since. The closest-to-authentic sounding version of an AC30 is, without any doubt, in my humble opinion, the Vox Amplug AC30. And the runner-up ... the AC30ish presets in GarageBand. Guitar Rig & AmpliTube? Not even close.
Members Brian @ IK
The Vox AmPlug is a different kind of "plug-in". Have you tried the new Copper TB in AmpliTube, or are you basing your opinion on just the original blue AC30 model? A lot of people seem to really prefer the Copper AC30... Members stratotak
I just use this one with Revalver foxy impulse. Sounds Voxy to me.Bass around 10 O'clock, treble about 4-5 O'clock and cut at around 2-3 O"clock. Sounds Brian May-ish to me. Or try Cranked AC..based on Wampler Pedals same box. http://www.indyguitarist.com/plugin/CrankedAC_vst%20plugin.rar

Members ~flipper
Well, I checked out the Copper 30 and the other clean copper preset in AmpliTube 3 and they sound pretty damned good, no question there.
