I use a BB reissue with a Les Paul and with a Tele.
I really like it! It's loud!
You'll need a pedal if you want to go into hi-gain territory.
..but it's very pedal friendly.

Doesn't sound good! Aren't the Greenbacks the new Heritage Made In UK speakers?

The Heritage Series are vintage spec G12H30's I believe. The Greenbacks I had were UK made, I own a '89 BB RI, and still sounded like garbage above 6. Not really the fault of the speaker, Greenbacks don't do so well in a open back cab. I'm much happier with the Weber VST C1230's(G12H30 clones).
