Members Zooey
I was rearranging my pedalboard yesterday, and when I powered it back up, I didn't notice that the plug on the adaptor for my Holy Grail reverb was only halfway plugged into the jack. Two minutes later, the adaptor got so hot it almost melted. I don't know if the pedal's toast, or just the adaptor yet.
Members StratStevo
Sounds like you shorted out the wall wart, I'm sure your Holy Grail is fine.
Members Zooey
Follow up: got a new adapter and the Holy Grail is fine. The adapter was under $6, which is refreshingly cheap for any non-standard power supply. Remember kids--make sure that adapter plug is inserted fully into the jack before powering up! Members wednesdaysworse
Thanks, Zooey. I sometimes use the HG and don't want a melt down. Where did you get the new adapter?
