Members Narcosynthesis
i decided i really need to get a couple of albums by the who, after listening to a couple of the best of's my parents have, which are awesome problem being, what albums should i get? i was going to pick up a copy of Whos next, but what out of the other albums should i get? the who sell out looks amusing, and the who by numbers looks like a great cd, or would one of the concept albums be a better idea? (until i have the excess money and lack of cd gas that would let me buy all these albums i still 'need' to own...)David

David he he thats funny I'm sure everyone says you have to have them all ...OK I understand.so then, for a good rep of the Who I think Who's Next is vital.Live at Leeds is great but you can make that your #3 purchase.I stand by Quadrophenia as my #1 suggestion.and just bookmark this to come back to for your next shopping triphttp://www.thewho.net/discography/
Members sertivide-grazy
live at leeds. I can't shake the feeling that the majority of today's devout Hiwatt amp fans..... were born from that album. Every hiwatt fan I ever knew..... was either a who fan or Pink floyd fan. Members voerking
my two favorites are "a quick one" and "..sell out". if you really like the "big" songs like baba o'riley and won't get fooled again, just get who's next and be done with it. all of their albums have great songs on them. personally, i like the more MOD, pre-tommy era best...but that's just me... Members Narcosynthesis
i was going to get whos next anyway, as pretty much all the reviews i have read say its a brilliant album, just i was looking at what other album would be best quadraphenia is looking like the best bet so far David
Members emdub123
My vote: 1. Meaty, beaty, big and bouncy -might not count because it's a compilation of the pre-Tommy mod-era singles 2. Live at Leeds 3. Tommy
