Members aussieguitarnut
he fellas my vibrolux has developed a funny little prob. in the two 'normal' inputs if i bump the cable near the input i get an almighty crackling sound (like pulling the jack out of your guitar with the volume way up). i can use my bright inputs fine. any thoughts? by the way - i really dig this amp but rarely get the chance to turn it up as loud as i'd like. i'm thinking of maybe getting a blues jr to satisfy my fender needs (i tried one in the shop and really liked it) and maybe a little ac15 or ad15 - and then i could run them together at times too. the other thing that looks interesting is one of the matamps - the c7 would be get me the low watt tone machine - the 1224 a bit more scope if i have the need a bit more volume. is the c7 giggable? my main guitar is a les paul and i also have a strat. the sounds i aim for are in gilmour / edge territory. i always play miked up. thanks all! Members cusackmusic
you have a bad solder joint on the input jack. Is this a PCB amp, or an old-school amp? Most likely a re-issue, since you are more likely to have a solder joint problem like that on a PCB mounted jack.
