Members ollenorin
where do you put yrs ? up the bum or in front of od, fuzz or after ? and why ? od into od can be a bit too much noise/muddy/trebly....boost into od or vice versa might be better....havent really tried that. so spill it ! Members Teahead
All depends, different boosters give totally different results. Usually if you want to hit your boost and get more gain and not more volume, then put it before your overdrive or fuzz, so it overdrives the pedal and not the amp. If you want more volume and more gain, then put it after the other pedal, so it hits the amp harder. Of course the first one will now be overdriving the boost, rather than the amp. Also, the voicing of the boost will have a lesser effect before the overdrive and a more dramatic effect after. Like with a wah, or eq. For me, a treble booster is great before or after a fuzz! Members Godin73
I use 'em both in front and after.First a Barber Tone Press, set as a boost + sustain. I can use that to fatten up my OD pedal or my amps OD channel. Then there's the Fuzzmaster I mostly use as a boost for the OD channel and after that a Soulbender, which I can use on both the clean channel and the OD channel (it loves the Tele there !). Finally, my OD pedal. I can kick it in as a mild OD for my clean channel, a gain boost for my OD channel or with the Fuzzmaster inf front, a very smooth and heavy lead tone.Lastly, there's a mosfet boost. To pump up the volume.I totally lost you now, right ?
Members Arjae
Boost before dirt. I love my FatBoost running into the OCD. Makes it BIG!
