Members mst3k
Im way more afeared of my fingers, wrists, and hands than my already defunct brain getting hurt. I still wear a helmet tho.
Members troubbble
Cheapo helmets look pretty dumb, but the nice ones are actually pretty cool.
Members lefort_1
Helmets are good. Two months ago, my 20 yo son "took a spill" on an ATV without a helmet and headbutted an oak tree at 30 mph. He spent 4 days in Neuro-ICU while the docs tried to figure out how he fractured his skull in 5 places and still avoided surgery. FYI, his friend had just bought the ATV, but left without buying a helmet ...that dealer should be ashamed. My son has sworn off ATVs and his mother (a surgical RN) will finish the job if he tries to kill himself halfway again.
