Members BigFurryWhale
Hey, I recently bought a thomas organ wah which sounds pretty cool. My problem with it is it seems that the sweep is reversed (ie. rock it back i get treble, rock it forwards i get bass) Is there an easy way to fix this? Members jonny guitar
I believe that you just have to reverse the wires to the pot.

Damn, I am on my father's ultra slow computer so I can't readily pull stuff up. I believe the following is correct: On the pot there are three lugs...on is a ground (usually with a black wire attached) and the other two need to have the wires reversed. Members BigFurryWhale
Thanks I'll check all of these things out. BTW Are thomas organs made this way? or has mine been modded in the past?

Members BigFurryWhale
This wah is really unreliable (ie I switch it on and sometimes it'll work fine but other times no wahhing at all) Can anyone see what's wrong with it? Members BigFurryWhale
Heres a crude diagram of what the pot looks like from the rear. I'm thinking that the black and yellow wires need to be switched?

Members BigFurryWhale
Weird. I just had another look and realized that my crude diagram is wrong. And i think I know what I've got to switch. This is what it's like now:I think I have to switch the blue and black ones.
Members BigFurryWhale
So could the pot in there actually be an original? Or an early replacement?

My photo has the original Is it a modern replacement or a fairly old one? The pot looks new considering how old the pedal itself is. Also, your wah has a different thing on the circuit board then mine. I'm not sure what you call it (I'm a huge fx noob) but mine is square and yours is sort of round. Could that be unoriginal in mine aswell?
Members StratStevo
The square thing is your inductor. And your pot is a modern replacment, just like the pots in the Budda's.

It just doesn't look like mine at all and mine has never been touched. Maybe the square inductor is what the vendors sent them that week?I'm sure somebody around here knows something about that inductor

I'm sure somebody around here knows something about that inductor The square inductor is original. Thomas Organ wahs came with a few different inductors. StratoStevo has what is often referred to as the "stack of dimes" inductor. Your indfuctor is a TDK inductor. Everything seems to be original other than the pot which is for sure a newer replacement. Any by the way, that replaced pot is a good thing since the old one was probably all scratchy. And since Thomas Organ wahs aren't collectible, it is okay that it is not all original.
