This past weekend, I compared the two channels, and the Vibrato channel did seem a tad brighter, but not much. Certainly not "icepick" territory. Maybe the vintage circuit/tubes make this mod a little less necessary in the older DRs? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The way the bright circuit works is that it lets a certain amount of high frequency past regardless of where the volume is. Anywhere above 7, there won't be any different between bright/non-bright. But when you're playing in your bedroom or need volume low ( If you regularly play anywhere above 5, or rarely use distortion pedals, it probably won't make much difference.
