Members sunburstbasser
I know sometimes this looks like a trumpet forum. Thats what happens when the 2 regular posters are trumpeters, and 4 of the top 5 are brass guys. No, I'm not going to post woodwind stuff now, but feel free to! Members JanVanHove
nope, I have a full time job and two kids to deal with (6 months and 3 1/2 yo...) so I kind of have a lot on my hands.... But that museum has been on my list of things to do in Brussels since day one, and I just never got around to it...
Members Kuhnfyoozed
Me and Lambros play saxophone. I don't post that frequently, but he does. Does that make it a trumpet with some saxophone forum? We tend to get a lot of "beginning sax player, halp plz" threads.

Members soundministries
You can have a full jazz band without tubas sorry j/k One of the reasons why I double on a double trigger bass bone:D . Actually I sent the bass bone in for repairs so I've been using the tuba for a couple rehearsals until the bone gets out of the shop
Members Vibroluxman
Dude we had a tuba sit in on practice one time while we were blowing over rhythm changes. He was smoking. And LOW. He was sitting next to me and my chair was rattling.
Members danrothmusic
yeah, tubas (and Suzis) aren't used too often in jazz, but I can never understand why--whenever they do sit in, it adds a lot to the sound. And then if you have a good player...

Members IndofunkCity
i play the flute and the trumpet so this is fine. I always thought that trumpet and flute would be a great doubling, and I even borrowed a friend's flute for a while in high school, but never got too serious on it. In fact, the only instruments other than trumpet that I ever got more than half serious about were congas (which I can't play well anymore ) and piano/keys (which I'm still pretty good at). Guitar, my latest addition, seems to be another one that is doomed to mediocrity
