Members jrowan
The WH-1 uses either proprietary software or a proprietary chipset that was made for Digitech by IVL technologies. The companies no longer work together, and Digitech can't use the original tech from the WH-1. Cost may also be a factor, as I've read that the WH-1 was expensive to make. Also, the Whammy 4 tends to be referred to in a lot of Digitech lit as the reissue of the WH-1, so that's in all likelihood what the auction is. Members MrSage
Um, yeah... While I appreciate the help, I figured out what the auction was more than a year ago. It was originally posted before Digitech was using "WH-1 reissue" in their marketing.
Members jrowan
Sorry. I don't check the dates on posts. I had no idea this thread was over a year old.

So what is it about the Whammy I that makes it better than the Whammy IV? Is it really better, or is this just one of those Mojo vapor things? I honestly don't know, having never tried out any of them.
