Members clayton explode
{censored} I loved these when i was 16 and made pretty good demos for 16/17 year-olds with these and some decent rented mics. I'm thinking, I might buy one since they're so cheap. Then dump to the computer for final touches.

Members L6Sguy
with good engineering skills (and a couple decent mics), theres no reason a 488 couldnt turn out some very, very decent recordings.
Members we_are_responsible
I still love mine. I like the sound and I like the way that I think when I record on tape as opposed to computer--not so fussy, a lot more immediate. It's never going to sound pristine, but that shouldn't be that important.
Members riffdaddy
I got mine along with a cheapo condensor and an ART MP-1 as a birthday present from a girlfriend one year. That was one of the coolest presents I ever got.
